4-H Dress Code
I would like to take a moment to discuss the 4-H dress code as set up by the State 4-H Office.  The code states that shorts and skirts must be longer than fingertip length when arms are dropped straight by the side.  There shall be no halter tops, tank tops, muscle shirts, spandex garments, spaghetti straps, t-shirts with obscene or inappropriate logos, or see-through garments.  Pants and shorts must be worn at the waistline.  Caps and Western hats may not be worn inside.  The dress code is not subject to personal interpretation.  Since this dress code is enforced at all county, district, and state 4-H events I believe we, at a club level, should also abide by it.  We want to present the proper image of ourselves in all areas including attitude, actions, and dress.  Thank you for your cooperation.

A MESSAGE FROM YOUR LEADER....
We had our first meeting of the Home Grown 4-H Club for the new year and it was quite exciting to meet all the new families, a big welcome to you all,  and to see all the old ones again, a big welcome back.  We had almost 100 members sign up.  Our next monthly club meeting will be Tuesday, September 14th, 2:00p.m., at Bible Presbyterian Church on North Daughtery Road.  We have many exciting projects planned for 2004-2005.  Some old favorites will be returning and some new ones have been added.  (Check out the Home Grown calendar)  We will be learning about Public Speaking at the next  monthly meeting.  You won't want to miss that.  Home Grown does not cap its membership so invite a friend to come along.
Remember,
there's something for everyone.
